Adams Garage Addition

Sometimes you can find what you’re looking for just outside of your front door. Such was the case for neighbors of Adrian & Julleanna Seely when they decided to build a Garage Addition on the side of their home.

The home already had an existing attached 2-car garage, and the owners were looking to create additional space that could not only store equipment and vehicles, but also double as a space for family and friends to gather.

While building a Garage Addition is not as complex as building a New Home, it still has its own challenges. An experienced builder like Seely Homes will examine property surveys and setbacks, determine existing utility locations and handle the permitting process that must be done before beginning construction on an existing home. Will construction crews be able to get necessary vehicles and equipment onto the lot? Are there trees or shrubbery that need clearing? Can the driveway to the new garage easily tie into the existing driveway? These are all things to consider and plan for ahead of a project like this. Seely Homes is able to navigate these potential obstacles, and did just that in order to construct a beautiful Attached Garage for these owners.

Thanks to some owner supplied photos, several site visits with siding samples, and some research, the Seely Homes team was able to perfectly match the exterior finishes with the existing home.

The owners decided to make the wise investment of re-shingling their old roof along with the new addition, creating a seamless transition from the existing home to this 32’ x 32’ garage addition. Exterior doors, shutters, and light fixtures matching the existing home tied everything together. One final detail Seely Homes added is a poured concrete walkway leading from the pre-existing driveway to the service door and overhead doors. The owners were happy with the overall finished product, and excited to begin using their new garage addition.
