Beautiful Custom Country Home with Room to Grow

Having just put their previous home under contract, the buyers of this home came to Seely Homes in early 2022 with the hope of moving their family into a new home on their Harrington lot by the end of the year. We reworked the family’s existing plans to create a Custom Home that maximized togetherness. This Three-Bedroom design kept the theme of “togetherness” with open-concept communal spaces including both a Living Room and a Family Room, as well as a Screened-In Porch, and Outdoor Patio for entertaining in warm-weather months. After a few months of careful planning needed to build this home on their property, we began construction on this home in early June.

The homeowners’ choice of colors and finishes throughout gave of their home a warm and welcoming feel. Praline-finish maple cabinets line the walls of the Kitchen, with the addition of a large corner Pantry. Oil-rubbed Bronze lighting, plumbing fixtures, and cabinet hardware add to the warmth and charm of the kitchen. The varying wood-tones of Redefined Pine LVP cover the living spaces and Bedrooms, while the Bathrooms are with laid with Limestone-finish Resilient flooring and vanity cabinets with the Praline.

The Owner’s Suite features a sizable Walk-In Closet with custom shelving, a 5-foot shower, a luxurious 6-foot soaking tub with custom framing and tilework. In addition to the 1,900 square feet of heated living space, the Living Room stairs lead to the second-level with over 900 square feet of additional space for any future plans a growing family may have.

The interior’s warm aesthetic is well balanced by the cooler, more dramatic black, white, and Wedgewood-blue color-story the exterior is telling. Cedar-shake siding, black craftsman shutters, a white Board & Batten gable, and white porch railing. The homeowner added even more character, as well as more natural light, with the addition of two, second-floor window dormers on either side of the front porch.

Constructed with a simple and efficient floorplan, an attached 2-car garage, and multiple communal spaces, this home reflects the owner’s family-centered sensibilities. After several months of hard work by the Seely Homes team and trade-partners, the homeowner’s entire family was, once again, able to live together full-time when their home closed in December of 2022.
